2023_Main hall of a temple / 本堂の改修

お寺の本堂の改修。
ご本尊の修復工事に伴い、朽ちていた背景となる壁の改修と照明計画を行った。

内陣のご本尊（京都府指定文化財）を囲む三方の壁には、かみ添による「具引き」という技法を用いた、銅粉を混ぜ合わせた唐紙を馬張りしている。
平安時代からの仏像に馴染みつつも、近づくと金属質の煌めきを有している。

照明計画としては、来訪者の足下を照らすペンダントライト以外は光源を全て隠した。浄土宗の宗紋から着想を得たペンダントランプは、L.GROWと協働して設計した。
隠された間接照明含め、全ての光源を遠隔操作でプログラム調色調光できるようになっており、法要前後の移動時、法要中など、行われるシーンによって空間の印象を変えられるようになっている。

Refurbishment of the main hall of a temple.
Due to the restoration work on the principal image, the decaying background walls were needed to be refurbished and a lighting scheme was carried out.

The three walls surrounding the principal image are covered with karakami paper mixed with copper powder using the ‘gubiki’ technique by Kamisoe.
The paper is familiar to Buddhist statues from the Heian period, but has a metallic shimmer when approached.

We planed all light sources were concealed except for the pendant lights that illuminate the feet of visitors which were inspired by the religious crest of the Jodo sect and designed in collaboration with L.GROW.

All light sources, including the concealed lighting, can be remotely controlled to programme colour and dimming, so that the impression of the space can be changed depending on the scene, such as when moving before and after a memorial service, or during a memorial service.
